One thing I've always had with new game systems or even with new campaigns, even small ones, is having the first game session turn out clunky. It will be clunky with the story and with the rules as the players get to know their own characters and as the GM gets the feel for the adventure concept or rule system. So, if you want to know whether you will be a good GM or not, don't judge it by the first session or two. They always have something clunky happen.
Another thing that helps a GM, whether they are new at it or an old-timer, is to have a post session session where you ask the players what they thought. It does not have to go into detail but just a little feedback will help. It's better to get feedback because if you don't ask for it then you might think you are a flop of a GM when you really are a good fit. Basically, talk to your players.
It also sounds like you have some great GMs to rely on for help and who are willing to have you learn how GMing goes.
In addition to all that, you three have a great podcast. Keep up the great work. Thanks much.
Am I crazy, or did I hear the same show twice?
It was good regardless...
Cheers
Ian
